And according to the Melanoma Institute of Australia, skin cancer is the most common cancer in young Australians (15-39-year-olds) making up 20 per cent of all their cancer cases.

In fact, within our sunburnt land, one in 14 men and one in 24 women will be diagnosed with melanoma sometime in their life.

Giving Up Is Not An Option is a fundraising event targeting $5000 in support of Seymour’s Vic Alfieri and the Melanoma Institute of Australia and will be held at the Royal Hotel on February 9.
