Prognostic significance of tumor size for primary invasive cutaneous melanoma: A population-based study, 2004-2016
Source: MDLinx, May 2020
Researchers investigated the independent prognostic worth of tumor size vs other clinical and pathologic characteristics of primary invasive cutaneous melanoma (CM) in this study with 28,593 patients with primary invasive CM who were identified from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program database from 2004 through 2016. Tumor size was classified into five subgroups (?6, 7-12, 13-30, 31-42, and > 42 mm). Melanoma?specific survival (MSS) was assessed as the primary endpoint.
