These Perth suburbs are skin cancer hotspots

Perth’s western suburbs are home to the highest above-average rates of skin cancer in WA, health statistics reveal.
Data from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare also shows Mandurah and Kwinana are cancer hotspots, with higher than the national average rates for all cancers.
In the western suburbs, the 263 incidences of melanoma of the skin, or 69 in every 100,000 people, was 40 per cent higher than the national average of 49.
