The Olympic swimmer and two-time gold medallist Cate Campbell has issued an urgent warning to all Australians to check their skin – after a deadly melanoma developed in a mole she’d had her whole life.

Cate, 27, had never given much thought to the mole she had on her upper arm as it had never changed in size or shape.

But when she went to have her skin checked in November 2018, she was diagnosed with stage one melanoma.
