New study looks into how drug therapy before surgery could help prevent the spread of melanoma

This sunburnt country may have inspired our great poets, but the sun’s harsh rays have also meant Australia has the highest melanoma rates in the world with 1,300 Australians expected to die from the disease this year alone.

But a study published today in the Nature Medicine journal suggests drug treatment before surgery could be an effective way to help prevent the spread of melanoma.
