Melanoma research to continue unabated as Professor Richard Scolyer’s brain cancer returns

Professor Richard Scolyer says he is hopeful that a clinical trial will prove his experimental brain cancer treatment was more than luck, despite the return of his cancer.
The former Australian of the Year was “nearly crying" as he spoke to ABC Radio Sydney Mornings presenter Hamish Macdonald after revealing the devastating update on his social media Monday night.
The melanoma pathologist had surgery early last week which confirmed the recurrence of a brain tumour.
