“Downtown” Michael Brown is becoming a familiar sight in Fort Collins.

Old Town regulars might know him as the saxophone player who occasionally performs for tips on the corner of Mountain and College avenues near the Next Door restaurant.

Whether rockin’ along with recorded music or playing a soulful solo version of “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” his music catches the attention of shoppers and inspires some to drop a few dollars into his saxophone case.
