Fundraiser for Melanoma Research

Ten thousand dollars was raised for melanoma research at the Jennnifer’s Journey Melanoma Charity Ball held in Geelong on Saturday 12th October 2013. The sold out evening was put together by Jennifer’s longtime friend Sheryl Hovey in response to Jennifer’s health improvements due to new medical research treatments for her stage IV melanoma. Both women are passionate about supporting melanoma research and dedicated their fundraising to the Melanoma Institute of Australia (MIA).

David Schwarz was the Master of Ceremonies of the glittering event, ably supported by Stephanie Rice, MIA’s Melanoma Ambassador, Campbell Rose, founder of the Australian Melanoma Consumer Alliance (AMCA) and Jay Allen, Community Coordinator for MIA. Several members of the Melbourne Melanoma Project (MMP) attended the event to personally support this worthy cause.
