Congratulations to the Melbourne Melanoma Project Consumer Reference Group. Winners of the Peter Mac 2013 Community Team Award.

The Peter Mac Annual General Meeting was held on Monday 25th November 2013 at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. The meeting was hosted by the Peter Mac Cancer Centre’s CEO Ms Dale Fisher. Professor Ian Fraser AC delivered the keynote address titled ‘Health care and health research: where are we heading?’

Each year a number of individuals and teams are recognised for their work in the areas of excellence, compassion, education, innovation and community contribution. The MMP Consumer Reference Group were delighted to be the recipient of the 2013 Community Team Award. The awards were presented by the Peter Mac Board Chair, Ms Wendy Harris SC. Mr Paul White, the Chair of the MMP-CRG, accepted the award on behalf of the group. Mr White said that the group were honoured to receive the award and reflected that it acknowledged the strong relationship the CRG has developed with the melanoma medical, research and patient communities
