Australian Skin Cancer Foundation boss calls for more awareness amid social media tanning trend

The head of the Australian Skin Cancer Foundation says prevention is key when it comes to the deadly disease, and he’s calling on the government to do more.
Jay Allen, also known as “Melanoma Man", is calling for more awareness to be raised amid recent social media trends that have encouraged young people to tan.
Allen is now lobbying the federal government to fund skin cancer buses and with outrageously high rates of the disease in Australia, he says skin checks are crucial.
