Lymphoscintigraphy and sentinel lymph node biopsy in melanoma of the ear, nose and eyelid
Dr David Gyorki, Dr Phill Moore – March 2016 (data)
Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is a staging test done at the time of wide excision of melanoma to identify early evidence of lymph node involvement to guide prognosis and subsequent patient management and follow up. SLNB can be more complicated in the head and neck region. This study is seeking to assess rates of SLNB and the location of the sentinel node for melanomas located in complex anatomical locations.
