Channel 10 newsreader Georgina Lewis revealed her cancer scare on Sunday.

Speaking to The Courier Mail, the 44-year-old said a suspicious mole on her left rib turned out to be a stage one melanoma.

Having ignored doctor’s requests to have a biopsy for years, Georgina said she started crying and went into a state of panic upon receiving the diagnosis.
