Researcher focuses on advanced melanoma staging, therapies at AAD

DENVER — Delphine J. Lee, MD, PhD, FAAD, discussed staging, current therapies and future therapies for advanced melanoma at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting.

Lee, a professor of immunology at the John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, Calif., focused on stage 3 and stage 4 of the disease.

“There are a lot of current therapies for [patients with] advanced melanoma who have metastatic disease,” Lee told “There [also] are personalized therapies.”

Lee also discussed future therapies that are on the horizon.
