Rankings of Most Common Cancers to Shift by 2040

The next 20 years will see a big shift in rankings of the most common kinds of cancers, researchers predict.

At the moment, the most common cancers in the United States are breast, lung, prostate, and melanoma.

By 2040, melanoma will have become the second most common cancer type, while prostate cancer will drop in incidence all the way to 14, the study authors predict.
