New approach to fight metastatic melanoma discovered by researchers

Madrid [Spain], July 18 (ANI): Scientists, during a recent study discovered combining BRAF oncogene inhibitors and chemotherapy, is a very effective strategy for fighting metastatic melanoma, which is the leading cause of death from skin cancer around the globe.

The study published in the journal Oncogene was demonstrated by researchers from the Hospital del Mar Medical  Research Institute (IMIM), Hospital del Mar, and CIBER Cancer (CIBERONC), in collaboration with the Bellvitge Medical Research Institute (ICO-IDIBELL).
