Mark Shackleton: Science Minister’s Prize for Life Scientist of the Year

Congratulations to Dr Mark Shackleton, Group Leader of the Melanoma Research Laboratory in the Cancer Research Division and Medical Oncologist in the Skin and Melanoma Service at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, who was announced as a winner of the 2012 Science Minister’s Prize for Life Scientist of the Year.

The Prime Minister’s Prizes for Science were presented by the Prime Minister and Senator Chris Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research at the Prize Dinner in the Great Hall of Parliament House on Wednesday 17th October 2012. Dr Shackleton received the Science Minister’s Prize for Life Scientist of the Year.

Dr Shackleton is a Co-Investigator on the Melbourne Melanoma Project researching how cancers grow and resist treatment.
